Anyone know about healthy living for those with a chronic liver condition?

life_rocks asked:

I have a chronic liver condition with pain and tiredness and overall feeling of just plain lousy. I know I need to make a lifestyle change, but am not sure where to start. Is anyone in the same boat and how have you improved your life? Have you taken any supplements? Tried Reliv? HELP! Any advice would be helpfull! Thanks and Happy Holidays!!

  1. grotereber Says:

There are no supplements which improve the function of the liver. You should consume no alcohol, and use acetaminophen (Tylenol) only occasionally.

  2. Mamun Says:

    1. take plenty of carbohydrate-rich food (glucose), if u r non- diabetic.

    2. avoid medication without prior consultation with ur physician….. especially analgesics (pain-killers i.e paracetamol), sedatives (sleeping pills), diuretics, hypnotics…..etc AND ALCOHOL-containing beverages. this drugs are principally metabolized in liver and excessive use of these drugs may compell ur liver 2 OVERTIME WORK!

    3. moderate rest.

    4. high-fibre diet, if constipation.

    5. perform Liver Function Tests (LFT) periodically 2 ***** improvement.

better if u consult with a physician.
    very best of luck, champ…
